This pup came to us when the mother dog, "Boots" was brought to a local vet to be spayed. It was discovered that she wasn't just obviously pregnant, but within days of delivering her pups. The family that owned "Boots" didn't want puppies but also didn't want to abort the full term litter. We volunteered to foster "Boots" until her pups were 8 weeks old and then return her to her family. "Boots" gave birth in her foster home to six beautiful babies, four boys and two girls. Sadly, one of the girls, the runt of the litter, "Fontanelle" was born with hydrocephalus (or 'water on the brain') and was humanely euthanized when she began to have uncontrollable, frequent seizures at 6 weeks old.
The remaining pups have been raised by their mother, in a foster home with other dogs of various sizes, cats, and kids. Although they each have distinct personalities, they are young enough that they can be easily adapted to most lifestyles.
Each puppy will be vaccinated age appropriately, dewormed, treated for fleas, and spayed/neutered.
P.S. Their mother is being spayed now that her pups are weaned and has returned home to her family.

"Frances"
Breed: Chihuahua Mix
Age: 4 Months as of 5/15/2014
Sex: Spayed Female
Size: 4lbs currently, will be under 20# full grown
* Recently Adopted! *
"Frances" was rescued from a Contra Costa County animal shelter when she was deemed in danger of being euthanized. It is unclear how or why she ended up the shelter, but most likely she was a stray puppy that someone had found. Although a bit shy, "Frances" is a sweet little girl. She is currently living with a foster family and their own three Chihuahuas. There, she is learning how to be a part of a family and all of the rules of living in a home such as beginning house breaking and how to walk on a leash. She is socializing with other dogs and gaining confidence every day. Frances has been vaccinated age appropriately, treated for fleas, dewormed, groomed, and had a complete physical examination She will be spayed and microchipped by the time of adoption. An adoption fee of $175 will be required. If interested, please email us at [email protected]
* Better Picture Coming Soon! * The photo above is Frances' "freedom photo" the first pic we took of her which was taken in the shelter parking lot minutes after her rescue.

"RJ"
Breed: American Pitbull Terrier
Age: 4 Years
Sex: Neutered Male
Size: 68 Pounds
* Available For Adoption OR Fostering! *
"RJ" was rescued from a bay area veterinary hospital where he was taken as a 2 month old puppy suffering from parvovirus. "RJ's" owners couldn't afford the treatment required and surrendered him to the hospital. Luckily, one of our founders worked as a veterinary technician at that very hospital at the time and after administering "RJ's" treatments and seeing him through his sickness and back to health, she decided that she had to help find him a home. "RJ" spent the next few months at the veterinary hospital with no luck in finding a new home. The employees began to feel sorry for the pup who got minimal attention and our founder took him home. It has been 4 years since then and we have yet to find him the perfect home but are confident that his family is out there somewhere and it's only a matter of time until we can unite them. "RJ" is a happy boy. He enjoys walks, visiting dog parks, and lounging around on the couch or bed. He sleeps in a crate every night and is house trained. He currently lives with 5 small dogs and multiple cats as well but would prefer a dog closer to his own size whom he can play with. He has been around children and likes them, but he is strong and playful so we don't recommend him being with children under 14. He has been neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, treated for fleas, microchipped, and examined by a veterinarian. An adoption fee of $175 is required.Contact us is interested! [email protected]
